An exhibition of scientific and technical creativity dedicated to Science Day and International Cosmonautics Day

On April 11–12, the College of the International Academy of Business hosted an Exhibition of Scientific and Technical Creativity dedicated to Science Day and the International Day of Human Space Flight.

Science Day is celebrated in Kazakhstan on April 12, established by Presidential Decree No. 164 dated October 20, 2011. This date is closely associated with the birthday of Academician Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev — the first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, who led it from 1946.

On April 12, 1961, Soviet pilot-cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin launched into space aboard the Vostok spacecraft. In 2011, the United Nations General Assembly officially proclaimed April 12 as the International Day of Human Space Flight.

During the exhibition at IAB College, students presented impressive projects in astronomy, physics, and electronics, including a hydraulic crane, a mini power station, a smart house, various kinetic models, and 3D models of the solar system.

Honored guests of the exhibition included:

Alexander Aleksandrovich Petrukhin, Head of the Editorial Board of the national journal Modern Education;

Zhandos Zhumabay, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Modern Education;

Kadyrzhan AdilovichIsakov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan.

All projects were carefully reviewed by the expert commission, which praised the innovative character of the models, their relevance to modern scientific challenges, and the complexity of their implementation.

Among the projects, the hydraulic crane, the mini power station, and the solar-powered smart house received the most positive feedback.

The exhibition highlighted the students’ strong interest in science and technical creativity, and it will surely become a valued tradition at our college.

As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said:”He who is fixed on a star does not turn back.”
